That's true. You don't see many images of smoked mackerel as the whole fish, they are almost always as a prepared dish. We wanted to capture an image with something with a vintage feel. Provoking a feeling or emotion of going to an old fashioned fish-monger, choosing your fish and bringing it home to enjoy - not the pre-packed, frozen offerings that most people know today.
